Rina D'Abramo Receives Dean's Award at
WSU School of Medicine Graduation

DAYTON, OHIO-Howard Part, M.D., dean for Wright State University School of Medicine presented the Dean's Award to Rina D'Abramo, during graduation ceremonies held at the Schuster Performing Arts Center on May 27th.

The Dean's Award is given to a graduate who exemplifies the goals of the School of Medicine and demonstrates integrity, good citizenship, and good interpersonal relationships with peers, patients, and the community.

Rina D'Abramo receives the Dean's Award from Dr. Howard Part, dean

Dr. D'Abramo is a graduate of Holy Name High School in Parma, Ohio. She holds a B.S. in nursing from Ursuline College in Cleveland, and she worked as a registered nurse with a concentration in cardiology for hospitals in Ohio, California, and Florida until entering medical school. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honorary medical society and served as vice president of the American Medical Women's Association. She also served as a member of the Admissions and the Faculty Curriculum committees, and volunteered with the Special Olympics, the Hittner Community Health program, the Student-to-Student program, and Reach Out of Montgomery County.

Dr. D'Abramo also received the American Medical Women's Association Glasgow-Rubin Certificate of Commendation for Academic Achievement, and the Ohio Chapter, American College of Physicians Award-American Society of Internal Medicine during an awards ceremony prior to graduation.

D'Abramo has chosen the field of internal medicine and will serve her residency with the Metrohealth Medical Center, Cleveland.
