Brian Hill (right) discusses his work with faculty judge Lawrence Prochaska, Ph.D., at the 2011 Medical Student Research Symposium. The annual event is organized by WSU’s Medical Student Research Club and the Office of Research Affairs.
The Office of Research Affairs promotes the wide range of biomedical and clinical research conducted at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine (BSOM) and its affiliated institutions. Research Affairs provides strategic planning to the dean of the Boonshoft School of Medicine and other community leaders for research development at Wright State and throughout the Miami Valley region.
The office works in conjunction with Wright State's Office of Research and Sponsored Programs to enhance extramural funding opportunities for BSOM faculty. It provides staff support for the SOM Research Committee and administers BSOM internal grant programs. Research Affairs promotes collaboration in the research community through the Central Research Forum and other scientific meetings, and it publishes Research Enterprise, an Internet news site for the research community.
