Interests with plastic surgery: aesthetics, body contouring, facial trauma, and breast reconstruction
Hobbies/other interests: Baking (working through Dessert Person), cooking, international travel, swimming/water sports
Favorite thing about our program: Early operative autonomy and high volume of cases
Fun fact: I studied abroad in Ecuador in college and got to meet the tortoise Lonesome George in the Galápagos Islands.
If you were a flap what would you be and why? Rhomboid flap - versatile and classic
 


Fatemeh Mirzamohammadi, M.D., PGY-5

Hometown: Tehran, Iran

Interests with plastic surgery: General plastic surgery, Microsurgery and peripheral nerve reconstruction, Facial reanimation, Breast recon and aesthetics
Hobbies/other interests: Science, Traveling, Human Rights Activities, Graphite Art
Favorite thing about our program: Our Program Director! He is THE BEST! You can not find a better person in the Whole World! Seriously! As a resident in this program, you have his support for your life.
Fun fact: Just a girl with big dreams, I'm an international med grad navigating the intricate world of plastic surgery in the USA! I'm determined to prove that dreams recognize no borders and scalpels certainly have no gender.
If you were a flap what would you be and why? A muscle-sparing perforator flap. Much like this flap, I strive to be precise and efficient. These flaps are known for their ability to minimize damage to surrounding muscles, highlighting a focus on preservation, meticulousness and developed surgical skills.

Megan Angermayer, M.D., PGY-4

Hometown: Stilwell, KS
Medical School: University of South Carolina SOM Greenville
Interests with plastic surgery: General Reconstruction and Hand
Hobbies/other interests: I love horseback riding and have a horse I lease here in town named Mia!
Favorite thing about our program: The people here are truly wonderful. Dr. Johnson has to be the nicest program director in the whole country and we have such a good team of residents. 
Fun fact about me: I grew up on a peach farm. 
If you were a flap what would you be and why? I would be a free radial forearm because it is reliable and versatile. 
 


Christos Haveles, M.D., PGY-3

Hometown: Brooklyn, CT
Medical School: UCLA
Interests with plastic surgery: Aesthetics, general reconstruction, body contouring, microsurgery, gender affirmation surgery
Hobbies/other interests: traveling, second dinners, working out, tennis, learning about different cultures and new languages, real estate
Favorite thing about our program: Faculty are invested in residents' education and training with early operative autonomy. Residents are kind and supportive of each other. 
Fun fact: I'm Greek - love the language and sharing the culture
If you were a flap what would you be and why? DIEP - who doesn't like a two-for-one deal?
 


Daniel Pohlman, M.D., PGY-3

Hometown: Dayton, Ohio

Plastic Interests: General reconstruction, trauma
Hobbies: Traveling, home improvement
Favorite Thing About Program: Faculty are genuinely invested in your education and development as a surgeon. One-on-one instruction in the OR with high case volume and operative autonomy.
If you were a flap, what flap would you be? Rotational advancement flap.


Cyrus Mirhaidari, M.D., PGY-2

Interests with plastic surgery: General reconstruction, breast construction and aesthetics
Hobbies/other interests: When I'm not at work I'll either be cooking, in the gym, or playing video games
Favorite thing about our program: Kettering lunch buffet
Fun fact: I'm in the movie Cherry featuring Tom Holland
If you were a flap what would you be and why? probably a rhomboid, easy to remember and works pretty well


Ilana Siegal, M.D., PGY-2

Interests with plastic surgery: general plastic surgery and reconstruction, pediatric craniofacial surgery, global health
Hobbies/other interests: international travel, road trips, hiking, biking, reading
Favorite thing about our program: supportive environment, early exposure and high case volume, brilliant faculty
Fun fact: I have done 2 cross country USA road trips!
If you were a flap what would you be and why? I would be a forehead flap because it's a classic, takes patience, and the result makes a huge difference for the patient.


Shelby Kitchin, M.D., PGY-1

Hobbies/other interests: sewing and fashion design, fine art, travel, interior design
Favorite thing about our program: we are always laughing
Fun fact: I was born at the hospital we work at (on Halloween!)
If you were a flap what would you be and why? gracilis—because I have a wide multitude of talents and I'm kind of mediocre at all of them. And I like to make people smile :)


Tiffany Noel, M.D., PGY-1

Hometown: Chillicothe, OH
Medical school: Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine
Interests with plastic surgery: Microsurgery, breast reconstruction, general reconstruction
Hobbies/other interests: Working out, traveling, trying new restaurants (always down for a craft cocktail), taking long walks down the aisles of Home Goods and Target
Favorite thing about our program: Early operative experience and the people. All of the senior residents in the program have impacted my interest in plastics starting when I was a medical student (even getting me under the microscope then); their confidence in the operating room is a product of our program and inspires me everyday. That, and Dr. Johnson truly encourages us to strive to our fullest potential. Couldn't ask for a better program director.
Fun fact: I'm FIlipino and "half-lingual": I can understand Tagalog, but I can't speak it.
If you were a flap what would you be and why? Omental flap! It's versatile, adaptable, and has immunologic properties, which I'm personally drawn to because of my research background in immunology. It's also just super cool.
