Prematriculation Program
Want to get a head start on your studies? |
|
Are you ready for medical school? Wright State’s Prematriculation
Program is a four-week summer program for incoming medical students that
can give you a head start!
This program offers you exposure to material seen early in the first
year, including four weeks of human structure class, supplemental instruction
sessions led by current medical students and extensive critical thinking
and study skills training.
The program is designed for students who have
educational backgrounds that put them at a disadvantage, have been
out of school for a period of time, are members of under-represented
minority groups, did not major in the sciences as undergraduates and/or
are changing careers. The Prematriculation Program will give you additional
time to get acquainted with the Dayton area, find a place to live and interact informally with some of your new classmates, faculty and
staff.
All students are encouraged to apply for the program.
A number of scholarships are available to offset living expenses during the four-week program.
The program itself is free.
This year's program runs from July 8-24. Applications will be accepted through June 12, 2009, and a maximum of 25 students will be admitted, so if you're interested, be sure to apply as soon as possible.
