Military resources
Military collaborations offer research and training opportunities

USMC at WPAFB
The USAF Medical Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is one of seven teaching hospitals where WSU students and residents train.

Wright State is located just minutes from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, one of the nation's largest military bases and home to associate units such as the Air Force Materiel Command, Air Force Research Laboratory, Air Force Institute of Technology and National Air and Space Intelligence Center. Wright State and the Boonshoft School of Medicine both enjoy close connections to the base in areas such as collaborative research and shared resources, and medical students may receive part of their clinical training at the Wright-Patterson Medical Center, one of our seven affiliated teaching hospitals.

Many of our faculty members are current or former members of the armed services, and each class includes several students with military scholarships. Even if you have no personal connection to the military, as a Wright State student, you will strongly benefit from these affiliations and the exceptional education and experiences they enable us to offer you.

USMC at WPAFB
Several clerkships in the last two years of medical school take place at the USAF Medical Center.
